Consistent with the positions of the leadership of both Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia, the American Association of University Professors, the ACLU, and many other organizations, the organizers of NIME 2018 support diversity of all kinds, including diversity of nationality and religion. We are unequivocally committed to the free exchange of knowledge, art, and community across national boundaries. We imagine a fully international conference that provides these humanistic benefits, and at the same time itself constitutes a gesture of inclusivity, broadly conceived. The organizers of NIME 2018 encourage anyone who might be affected by the proposed travel ban to contact and work with us in support of your participation in the conference.

For poster presenters please note the poster easels can accommodate posters up to 3x4ft or 91.44×121.92cm in size. They can be also rotated for posters using landscape layout (4x3ft), and come with a board so that you may pin, tape, or clip your poster. Please note the conference is not equipped to print the posters. Instead, there are a number of printing centers within a walking distance from the conference that may be able to accommodate such printing needs. One of such options is the Hokie Print that is located right across the street from the main conference venue in the Squires Student Center. Presenters are encouraged to forward their printing inquiries directly to the print shop, including pricing and size limitations.
